What is Simpson University for Seniors?
Simpson University is an active member of our north state community, providing an affordable and academically challenging learning environment framed in a Christian worldview. Programs that serve today’s over-50 seniors are gaining widespread popularity, and Shasta County’s active retirement community can now take advantage of exciting learning opportunities here at our Redding campus through Simpson University for Seniors.

Our unique month-long courses are not-for-credit, open to the public, and meet three times a week for a total of 10 one-hour instructional sessions. Courses begin in September 2010 and will be held for three months in the fall. Four months of courses are scheduled for spring, beginning in January 2011. These courses will be stimulating topics designed to enhance your joy of learning. They will be held in classroom settings on Simpson’s campus for an authentic university experience - only without required homework, tests or grades!

    Who are the instructors?
The presenters are current or retired university professors and professionals in their field of expertise. They bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for their course topics. Our goal is to bring a breadth of experience and teaching acumen to each course.
