Greetings!
Simpson University is pleased to invite you to submit an application for the 6th Annual Craft & Fair Trade Bazaar. This fair continues to grow in popularity. Last year, our fair welcomed over 60 vendors, 5 fair trade partners, and hundreds of attendees!
The purpose of the 2012 Craft & Fair Trade Bazaar is:
1. To provide an outlet for area artisans and crafters to connect with the Simpson and local
Redding community to sell their products.
2. To raise awareness about fair trade and make items readily available for purchase.
3. To raise funds to support the Simpson WorldSERVE (student missions) program and the
Student Scholarship Fund.
2012 Craft & Fair Trade Bazaar Information:
Date: Saturday, November 17, 2012
Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Setup begins at 7:30 a.m. and teardown must be completed by 4:30 p.m.
Booth fees are $35 for one table, $50 for two tables or $75 for a 10x10 space.
All proceeds from booth registration fees will be used to support WorldSERVE and the Student
Scholarship Fund. Vendors will also have an opportunity to donate to WorldSERVE or the Scholarship Fund, though it is not required.
We will be advertising the event to the community, area churches, craft stores, local businesses and the media. We encourage vendors to partner in promoting the event and will provide you with marketing materials as requested.
If you are interested in participating in the Craft and Fair Trade Bazaar, please submit the completed application, photos and payment to SU by Friday, Oct 5, 2012. To download an application, click here. Please email the completed application to Cathy at cgiacomelli@simpsonu.edu.
To maintain the quality and integrity of the CFTB items sold are limited to handmade or re-purposed items. Vendors are selected through a jury process and will be notified of their acceptance status by phone and/or email by October 12. Checks will be cashed only after a vendor has been formally invited to participate.
We look forward to partnering with you in this event. If you have any questions, please feel free to
contact me via e-mail at cgiacomelli@simpsonu.edu or by phone at (530) 226-4750.
Simpson students and employees receive a $15 discount off booth fees.
Sincerely,
Cathy Giacomelli
